This tour takes you through all of the must-see cities throughout Turkey, including Istanbul, Ankara, Cappadocia, Pamukkale, and Kusadasi.

Friday departure Itinerary


Day 1
Arrival to Istanbul

Upon arrival at Istanbul Ataturk airport you will be meet by our local representative and transferred to your hotel.

Relax and enjoy the evening in one of the world’s most fascinating cities.

Day 2

Ancient treasures of Istanbul (B)

After breakfast you are going to be taken to some of the most wonderful ancient monuments of Istanbul on our half day Istanbul City Tour:

  • Visit to the Hagia Sophia, the 6th century Byzantine basilica, the largest church of its era, and the architectural glory of the Byzantines.
  • Visit to the Blue Mosque, a 17th century imperial mosque, famous for its six minarets, as well as its interior blue tiles.
  • Visit to the Byzantine Hippodrome, now an open air exhibition park with a number of monuments, where chariot races once were held.
  • Visit to the Grand Bazaar, the world’s largest covered market with more than 4,000 shops, and multitude of alleys.

Day 3

Turkey: a Republic (B,L,D)

After Breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your short flight to Ankara. Ankara is the capital city of the Republic of Turkey and, you are going to have the opportunity to learn a bit more about this wonderful city.

You will visit the Hittite Museum of the Anatolian Civilizations and The Mausoleum of Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish Republic.

After this tour you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before you depart for Cappadocia, about 300km from Ankara. On the way, there is a stopover to see Lake Tuz, the second largest lake in Turkey and one of the largest hyper saline lakes in the world.

Enjoy a lovely dinner upon check in at your Cappadocia hotel and prepare for another great day ahead

Day 4

The valleys of Cappadocia (B,L,D)


After having breakfast at the hotel, you are going to embark in a full day tour, including lunch, through beautiful Cappadocia.

  • Visit the Valley of Uchisar, with spectacular views of the natural cliffs.
  • Visit the Goreme Valley, filled with cave-churches decorated with frescoes.
  • Visit the Pasabag Valley, where highly remarkable earth pillars can be seen.
  • Visit Kaymakli, or Derinkuyu, one of the most famous subterranean cities in the world.
  • Visit to a cooperative for production of antique and modern Turkish carpets and handicrafts.

Finish this exciting and well used day with dinner at the hotel.

Day 5

From Cappadocia to Pamukkale, via Konya (B,L,D) 630km

After breakfast, you are going to head west and follow the ancient Silk Road for Pamukkale via Konya. Along the way, visit Sultanhani Caravanserai, one of the best examples of Anatolian Seljuk architecture. In Konya, visit the Monastery and Mausoleum of Mevlana, founder of the mystical movement of the “Dervishes” dancers. Then, relax and enjoy lunch before hitting the road again. Upon arrival in Pemukkale you take a well-deserved bath in thermal water and enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Day 6

Pamukkale to Kusadasi (B,L,D) 330km

After having a lovely breakfast, you are going to visit the ancient city of Hierapolis. You’ll have the opportunity to see the Necropolis, the Theatre and its famous travertine. In the afternoon, not before a delicious lunch, of course, you depart to Aphrodisias. There, you are going to visit the Greco-Roman settlement.

After tour continue to Kusadasi for dinner and overnight.

Day 7

Kusadasi: life in Roman times (B,L)


After breakfast, you will have a full day dedicated to the visit of the unforgettable remains of Ephesus, including:

  • The Temple of Hadrian, which dates from the 2nd century.
  • The Library of Celsius, built in honor of the Roman Senator Tiberius Julius Celsus Polemaeanus.
  • The Theatre, believed to be the largest outdoor theater in the ancient world with an estimated 24,000 seating capacity.
  • The House of Virgin Mary, discovered in 1812 and believed to be the last residence of Jesus’ mother.

Of course you will have lunch along the way and, at the end of the day, take a short flight from Izmir back to Istanbul, where everything started. Arrival in Istanbul that evening, transfer to hotel and overnight.

Day 8

Istanbul Departure (B)

Free at leisure until transfer to Istanbul Ataturk airport for your return flight home.
