Learn about the traditional sport of Sumo as we head to Ryogoku, the center of the Sumo world in Japan. Here, we visit a sumo stable where we can watch the wrestlers during their morning training. Witness the strict rituals and learn about the day to day life of these wrestlers who have dedicated their lives to their art, a sport that has a history spanning centuries.

Enjoy a totally unique Japan experience learning the fundamental techniques behind Samurai sword fighting. Rise to the challenge and indulge in a lesson of this ancient martial art with world famous sword artist, Tetsuro Shimaguchi. Well known for his work on the movie Kill Bill, for which he was head choreographer, he will teach you the basic movements of sword fighting.
Feel what it is like to be Japanese for a day with this opportunity to tour old Tokyo in the Asakusa area, while adorned in a traditional kimono. Learn about the roots and history of the garment before embarking on a tour of 'old Tokyo' where you will visit historic Sensoji, Tokyo's oldest temple and stroll through narrow lanes past century old stores.
Take an insightful walking tour through Tokyo's shitamachi, or old town, to discover traditional back-street shops selling iconic Japanese items such as kimonos and intricate crafts. Visit Sensoji temple, the oldest temple in Tokyo. See how life was in the early 20th century with a walk through Shitamachi Museum. Sit back at the end of the day with an ice cold beer or green tea at a charming small restaurant.
